STRAIT specializes in the installation, replacement, and repair of gathering systems and midstream pipelines. We offer turnkey pipeline construction and integrity services with experience in all types of pipelines: HDPE, steel, fiberglass, and composite. STRAIT’s pre-construction process includes all of the planning, budgeting, and client meetings involved in a project before breaking ground. Our capabilities during this phase include:

  • Building AFE budgets

  • Assisting in the selection of the routing of pipelines

  • Creating manpower and equipment loading schedules

  • Sourcing materials and subcontractors

  • Conducting or attending pre-job meetings with clients to discuss project scopes and other related issues

Our pipeline construction process includes all on-site construction, customization, installation and field work required to complete a project. STRAIT’s capabilities include:


  • Timber salvage and right of way development

  • Topsoil stripping and grade work

  • Stringing, bending and welding of pipe

  • Coating of girth welds

  • Lowering in and tying in of pipe

  • Backfilling of trenches

  • Testing and commissioning of pipe

  • Final right of way clean-up and topsoil replacement

  • Management of HDD boring

  • Management of pipe haul

Our post pipeline construction includes all work completed during and after site clean-up, to test, certify, and formally complete a project including:

  • Quality Control handover

    • Test charts

    • GPS weld mapping

    • GIS project tracking

    • MTR’s, etc.

  • Final clean-up
